Emergency services were called to Hampden Road in Great Missenden on Wednesday.
Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe, along with an officer attended.
A car had ended up on its side, a man had become trapped.
The firefighters used stabilisation gear to release the man, passing him into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
A road closure was put in place.
Thames Valley Police also attended.
