A man has been jailed for more than three years after he was convicted of a drug supply offence in Aylesbury.
Imran Butt, aged 28, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to supply cocaine in a hearing at Amersham Crown Court on 29 September.
Returning to the same court for sentencing on Tuesday (30/11), Butt was sentenced to a total of three years and four months’ imprisonment and a given a forfeiture order for the cash gained from his activities.
A destruction order was also made for the drugs and seized mobile phone.
At around 12.30am on 19 April 2019, Butt was subjected to a proactive stop and search by officers in Aylesbury as he was suspected to have been dealing in the area.
As a result of the search, officers found a number of wraps of cocaine concealed within his clothing, along with more than £1,700 in cash.
Following an investigation, Butt was charged with the offence on 4 October 2020 and appeared at Aylesbury Crown Court in February, where he initially pleaded not guilty.
However, appearing at Amersham Crown Court for the start of his trial on 29 September, Butt changed his plea to guilty.
