Man jailed for drug offences in Aylesbury

A man has been jailed for drug offences in Aylesbury.

Daniel Harpur-Andrews, aged 32, of Coventon Road, Aylesbury, was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday (16/11).

On Wednesday 1 March, plain clothed officers detained and arrested Daniel Harpur-Andrews on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

During a search of a related address, officers located a quantity of cannabis and weighing scales.

Mobile phone analysis identified another related address. A search of this property located a significant quantity of cannabis, cocaine and cash.

Harpur-Andrews was charged with one count each of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug, namely Cocaine, possess with intent to supply a controlled Class B drug, namely Cannabis, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, namely Cocaine and being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, namely Cannabis.

Harpur-Andrews pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, namely Cocaine and guilty to the three other charges on 30 March. Daniel Harpur-Andrews was released on bail.

On 6 September Harpur-Andrews was stopped by officers on Meadowcroft, Aylesbury and was found in possession of over £2,800 in cash.

A search of a related address located a significant quantity of cocaine and cannabis, over £400 cash, along with weighing scales and related paraphernalia.

Harpur-Andrews was charged and remanded with one count each of possession with intent to supply a controlled Class A drug, namely cocaine, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug, namely cocaine, possession of a controlled Class B drug, namely cannabis and possessing criminal property.

On 7 September Harpur-Andrews pleaded guilty to all offences at Aylesbury Crown Court.

Investigating officer PC James Gordon, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We continue to tackle drug supply, offering no respite for offenders.

“I hope this conviction sends yet another clear message and reminder that if you are involved in the supply of drugs, you will be arrested, charged and sent to prison.”
