Man in his 80s hospitalised after burglary in High Wycombe

Between 9.30pm and 10.30pm last Friday (19/8) offenders broke into a property in Desborough Avenue.

Two people were in the property at the time, one of them being a man in his eighties. He sustained facial injuries that required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

The offenders are described as four men.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Dan Page, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have information about what happened to please get in touch.

“I’d appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to check any dash-cam footage in case it has captured something that could help the investigation.

“Also, I’d ask anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Friday evening to please contact us.

“You can report information by calling 101 or via the Thames Valley Police website, quoting reference 43220372530.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online.”
