Man convicted after being found twice with cannabis in Bucks

In April 2019 police found cannabis and drug dealing paraphernalia at the home of Tommy Taylor.

A 21-year-old man pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing cannabis with intent to supply at High Wycombe Magistrates’ last week after twice being caught with the drug.

Police first found cannabis, as well as drug dealing paraphernalia, at the home of Tommy Taylor from Chalfont St Peter in April 2019.

Then, in November 2020, Taylor’s car was stopped by police and, after noticing a strong smell of cannabis, police searched the vehicle where they again found cannabis, mobile phones and “a quantity of cash.”

His sentencing date has yet to be confirmed.

At around 10.55am on 3 April 2019, officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at Taylor’s address.

A quantity of drugs was located, along with scales and other items used for drug dealing, and officers arrested Taylor.

Then, at around 6.30pm on 18 November 2020, a vehicle with Taylor inside tried to evade police on Layters End.

When the vehicle eventually stopped, there was a strong smell of cannabis so officers searched it.

Officers found a quantity of cash and mobile phones in the vehicle, as well as a quantity of cannabis in Taylor’s possession, so officers arrested him again.

Taylor was charged on 5 May this year.

Investigating officer police investigator Debbie Parker-Boyes said:

“Thames Valley Police will not tolerate drug-dealing on its patch.

“We will continue to target offenders and protect our communities from the harm they cause.

“We continue to need the support of the public in this, and we would ask them to report any information that they have about drug dealing.

“This can be shared with Thames Valley Police on our website or by calling 101.

“You can also report information anonymously by contacting independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
