The Bell Hotel & Pie Shop in Winslow won with their Steak and Stilton Pie in the British Pie Awards.
The Bucks-based pie experts beat 58 other entries in the category to take home the prize, led by their Head Chef, Paul Capener MCCG (Master Chef of the Craft Guild of Great Britain). This year’s award continues the shop’s winning streak, as their red lentil, chickpea and spinach curry pie was crowned Best Vegetarian Pie last year.
The prestigious awards have celebrated the best pies across the country for 18 years, with 26 categories for pie-oneers to win in. The judging process is also very thorough with 187 pie connoisseurs judging each entry, including pie buyers from Tesco and Sainsbury's, food writers and the 2015 Supreme Champion, Neil Broomfield.

Chairman of the Mowbray Pork Pie Association and host of the Awards, Matthew O'Callaghan, says:
"This year's awards have been a stellar tribute to the nation's love of pies, with a phenomenal atmosphere and, as always, oodles of creativity on display.
"We had a wonderful day on Wednesday as we were given the important job of sampling some truly outstanding pies. The Bell Hotel & Pie Shop was victorious amongst some stiff competition in the Beef & Cheese Pie category with their much-loved The Bell's Steak and Stilton Pie. These awards highlight the true skill and imagination of pie makers across the UK, which is why this win is so well-deserved."
