Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity saw an overwhelming response to its call for local children to audition for a part in their performance of Nativity! The Musical, taking place this October at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
Amy Dunstall, Community Fundraiser for Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity, said:
“The response to this project has been overwhelming, we have received an outpouring of interest and support from businesses and individuals , including generous backing from William Harding’s Charity and Madam Vanda Plastow. I was confident that this was going to be something special, and the local children did not disappoint. We were humbled to welcome such energetic, polite and talented young people.”
The show is being choreographed by Helayna Liviero who had her own personal reason for getting involved with the production.
“My mum died of secondary cancer back in October 2021 and received end of life care at Florence Nightingale Hospice. I couldn’t be more thankful to the staff at the Hospice, the care she received was second to none. This is an incredible charity and I was honoured to be asked to be a part of such a wonderful project. Performing Arts unites people from all walks of life and the fact we are making this project accessible for many who wouldn’t normally get involved is humbling.”
Nativity! The Musical comes to Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre on Sunday 30th October. Tickets go on sale shortly. To learn more visit fnhospice.org.uk/nativity.
