The amnesty knife bin, based at Southcourt Baptist Church on Penn Road, has only been active for two years and in that time over 900 knives have been dropped off.
It's thought 90% of the knives are from the local community alone.
Community Pastor, Graham Clarke, based at the Church, is proud to be hosting the first permanent knife amnesty bin. He told Bucks Radio they also have a critical bleed kit that could save lives if anyone is stabbed.
Lee Abrahams from the Thames Valley Neighbourhood team, Thames Valley Police, is used to seeing a lot of household knives in the bins which keep them out of hedges. "Emptying the bin today, we've had a machete, sadly a popular knife to carry. We've also got a knife in a sheath."
Bucks Radio joined the team as they opened the amnesty knife bin.
