The town and other areas nearby suffered a brief power cut on Wednesday lunchtime (28/5), with some shops unable to complete transactions and traffic lights not working properly.
UK power network say an underground electricity cable faulted on the high voltage network, causing an area wide power cut.
Buckinghamshire Highways reported engineers had been sent to restore several sets of traffic lights that were out of action, while residents and businesses lost internet connection for a while. Taking to social media, some movie goers reported the film they were watching temporarily stopped.
