As Christmas creeps closer, Thames Love in a bag initiative is set to get started.
Love in a bag donation stations will be opening over the next week or so its now time to get your bags ready.
Suggestions for the bags contents are:
The aim is for every bag to contain a section of personal care items, including toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, deodorants, sanity items etc.
Many of the male recipients may be sleeping rough, so warm clothing, including hat, gloves, scarf, socks, facecloth, food/hot drink vouchers can be included.
And to make the donation extra special, you may add a small less essential gift that someone would appreciate this Christmas, including perfume, make up, nail varnish, books for women, or aftershave, thermals, underwear, t-shirts for men.
Also include a note or card to show someone cares.
(Also, this year the charity have asked for donations to include sweets and chocolate.)
Make sure all items are new and unused.
