Fire involving around 100 tonnes of mixed metal in Griffin Lane, Aylesbury (Saturday 28th May 2022)
Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury and one from Amersham attended, along with two officers.
A large fire involving approximately 100 tonnes of mixed metal, destined for recycling, was causing smoke in the area.
The firefighters used:
- Two hose reel jets
- Four main jets
- Two ground monitors
- A thermal imaging camera
On-site machinery was also used to help spread the pile so the firefighters could turn over and damp down. Firefighters are likely to remain on the scene over night.
Thames Valley Police also attended the incident.
