A new planning application for the Chilterns Lifestyle Centre has been submitted by Buckinghamshire Council.
The authority is trying to get the final sign-off on the drainage system at its £36million sports facility in Amersham.
Despite the centre opening in 2021, its drains still need to be approved so that the site complies with a condition of the original planning permission.
Planning officers had told the council: “Further details are required to demonstrate permeable paving installed within the car park areas.”
Following this advice, Bucks Council has now submitted details of the site’s drainage system, including photos of it being built.
The Chilterns Lifestyle Centre is located on Amersham’s Chiltern Avenue and King George V Road.
It replaced the former Chilterns Pools and Gym, which were demolished along with other buildings including Amersham Library.
The new centre, just over two years old, features two pools, including a 25m main pool and a diving pool with a movable floor.
It also boasts a gym, cycling studio, three group fitness studios, sports hall, two squash courts, a climbing wall, bouldering facilities, a children’s soft play area, a café, a ‘mind and body’ studio and a luxury spa with treatment facilities.
