Whether you’re a seasoned stroller or just enjoy a walk with family and friends, there’s a chance to put your best foot forward for charity this weekend.
The Rotary Club of Princes Risborough have raised over £30,000 a year over the past decade, and proceeds from this Sunday's (7/7/24) walk will be given to local good causes, including Scannappeal, who fund state of the art medical equipment for hospitals in Bucks.
There are 2 routes, both starting and finishing in Wades Park in the centre of the town. One is approximately 6miles and the second, for the more adventurous, is about 20 miles (split into stages). Full route instructions will be issued at the start, and refreshments will be available at the end of each stage. There will be some transport available for those who might need it.
All are welcome to take part, and you can even take your dog! The online registration fee is £10 in advance (£15 on the day), and under 16s go free. There's link to register below.
David White is one of the organisers, and he told us more about the long walk;
The shorter walk includes a chance to detour to the Lions of Bledlow pub, which has featured in TV's Midsomer Murders!
