Car smashes into Winslow Shop

It's after a collision on the High Street early on Friday morning (10/5/24). Luckily it appears no-one was injured, but the shop is set to be closed for some time.

It appears the stationary car was hit by a bus, which sent it careering into the Farm Deli.

Owner of the Deli, Sue North, said: "It was very lucky it happened so early, the bus was empty and no one was hurt in the crash." Sue was safely tucked away in the kitchen.

She is hopeful to be back open on Tuesday, "Even if that means using an empty shop or having a market stand."

Sue also told us she wants to "thank the police and all our lovely neighbours and Winslow businesses who have supported us this morning."

The road was closed for a while, but has since reopened.

We're awaiting further information from the emergency services.
