Crews were called to an incident last night (Monday 31st) after a firework was launched into a property.
Smoke was seen from inside a commercial building on Rutland Avenue at 7:50 PM.
The firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan to help clear the smoke - and provided advice and informed Thames Valley Police.
They have issued this advice following the incident:
"Most people enjoy fireworks responsibly, however in the wrong hands they can cause real misery. Remember, fireworks are explosives, and they should be treated with respect and only used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the Firework Code.
Safety information relating to the use of fireworks can be found in our Safety Advice Hub."
