Bucks Council are in talks with HS2 limited as they are not happy with the plans for the Amersham vent shaft.
After calling the plans 'totally unacceptable', the Council will meet with HS2, its contractor, Align, and the HS2 Independent Design Panel to discuss their major concerns over the proposed design of the vent shaft which will be built on Whielden Lane in Old Amersham.
Over the last four years a number of iterations of the vent shaft have been presented and discussed but the Council believes significantly more work is needed to ensure the appearance is appropriate to the style of Old Amersham.
A formal application from HS2 Limited for the vent shaft is expected to be submitted to Bucks Council in early July 2021.
