Bucks Council have looked back on the accomplishments of the past year, as they celebrate their 1st Birthday.
In what has been a year that they could never predict, the Councils Annual Report highlights the positive projects they have done.
For example, Co-ordinating over 1,800 volunteers to help their local communities, made over 13,000 repair on local roads and provided support to over 5,000 shielding residents.
They have also celebrated providing £128 million to businesses in the area and supporting Buckinghamshire's climate by agreeing to plant half a million trees on council land (one for every resident of Bucks).
Martin Tett, Leader of Buckinghamshire Council, said: "When we made our plans for the new Council, we weren't expecting to have to deal with a devastating pandemic. Fortunately, with the support of volunteers, community partners and the resilience of our staff and councillors, we've managed to overcome the challenges of Covid to make our first year a huge success – including delivering on all of our key priorities."
