Buckingham Town Council is accepting entries for this year’s Buckingham in Bloom competition.
Free to enter, this competition is open to all green-fingered residents looking to show off their best kept front garden, hanging baskets, wildlife garden, or community garden.
The council has also announced a brand-new category for local businesses.
In an advertisement on their website, the council said the competition “is all about celebrating the beauty, creativity, and community spirit in our town.”
Judging will take place from 5th July 2024 by a panel of town coucillors. The judges will be “on the lookout for diverse plant varieties, eye-catching designs, and gardens that attract delightful insects and wildlife.”
They will also consider maintenance, sustainability, clever use of space and originality.
Winners of each category will receive a prize soon after the closing date, which is the 28th July.
