Officers are in Park Street, Aylesbury, following a report of a body in the Grand Union Canal.
There is a closure on the canal from Park Street up to Broughton, and Park Street itself was closed.
The death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.
Police are asking that members of the public please avoid the area.
