Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is proud to announce that Unit 33 Health on the High Street service, in Aylesbury’s Friar Square Shopping Centre, is now a member of the Safe Place Scheme.
The Safe Place Scheme runs in many local towns and there a number of locations across Buckinghamshire.
A Safe Place provides help and assistance when needed and can be identified by a Safe Place sticker on the window or door.
If a vulnerable person seeks help, a staff member of the Safe Place will help by making a phone call to someone the vulnerable person trusts or to one of the numbers on an emergency contact list provided to the premises.
Staff at a Safe Place will also reassure and keep the vulnerable person safe until the situation was resolved.
Vicky Perkins, Deputy Director of Operations for Unit 33 said: “We're proud to join the Safe Place Scheme and offer a safe haven to vulnerable community members in need. Unit 33 becoming a Safe Place Scheme Member in such a prominent place, in Friars Square Shopping Centre, gives vulnerable people a safe place to go if they are feeling lost, scared or confused.”
