Sometime between 7.45pm and 8pm on Saturday (25/11), a silver Honda CR-V hit a wall in Windsor Road before the driver got out and ran away.
Officers attended and found the driver nearby, who was taken to hospital for minor injuries. He has since been discharged.
Investigating officer PC George Ward said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this collision to please come forward.
“Also, if you were driving in the area around the time of the collision and have a dash-cam, or if you live nearby and have a CCTV camera or a video doorbell, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist us and get in touch if you have.
“To contact us, call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43230531074.
“Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or via its website."
