Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision, which has left a man with life-threatening injuries.
At approximately 11.45am on Friday (19/5) a silver Ford Focus and a black Volvo were involved in a collision on the A404, Handy Cross exit slip for the M40 junction 4, High Wycombe.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a man aged in his forties, sustained serious injuries and is currently in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The driver of the Volvo, man aged in his seventies, also sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He has since been discharged from hospital.
PC Thom Piercy of the Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham, said: “I am appealing for anybody who was driving along the M40 from junction 1 towards junction 4 who witnessed the driving of the Ford Focus, a 58 plate, to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.
“I am also keen to hear from anybody who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash-cam to please get in touch with us if it has captured anything that could assist my investigation.
