The accident involving 2 cars left the A418 closed between Rowsham and Wingrave Crossroads. The incident happened this morning (22/06) on the busy route between Aylesbury and Wing, with reports of the air ambulance attending.

Two Bucks and Fire appliances and crews from Aylesbury attended.
The firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment and a reciprocal saw to release two women who were both injured. One girl was also injured. She had been released before they arrived.
The firefighters provided immediate emergency care and oxygen therapy to the casualties before they were handed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police also attended.

UPDATE: 17:00 Road has REOPENED
13:08 - 22/6/22 - An update from the Sergeant on scene, the recovery is quite a complex one, so the road is likely to remain closed for around 2 more hours. Two vehicles involved, three people taken to hospital.
12:45 - 22/6/22 - This is a two vehicle RTC and the road is currently still closed for recovery of vehicles. The recovery is ongoing, and so the road should be opened once that has been completed, but at present, unable to give an ETA on that.
