Aylesbury Town Council and RAF Halton has announced that the Freedom of Aylesbury Parade will take place in Aylesbury’s Market Square on Sunday 28 April.

The prestigious parade celebrates the Freedom of Aylesbury which was bestowed upon RAF Halton. This was in recognition of the friendly association which has existed between the town, the people of Aylesbury, and the men and women of the Royal Air Force stationed at Halton.
RAF Halton will exercise its right to the Freedom of Entry to Aylesbury Town with a full ceremonial parade by marching through the town “bayonets fixed, Colours flying, drums beating and band playing” from 12:45pm, forming ranks in Market Square for 1pm, to solidify the important relationship that RAF Halton has with the town.
His Majesty the King’s Colours for RAF Halton will be paraded and led by Central Band of the RAF. The parade will be reviewed by the Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Steven Lambert and Wing Commander Peter Seanor. Residents are encouraged to be part of this historic celebration in Market Square and to honour their local RAF unit.
The Freedom Parade is organised by Aylesbury Town Council and RAF Halton, takes place in Aylesbury Town Centre on Sunday 28 April from 12:45pm.
