Where will the Bucks Bear be visiting this year?

  Kop Hill Climb

  The 2026 Kop Hill Climb will take place on Saturday, 12 September and Sunday, 13 September 2026 at Kop Hill in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. This popular annual vintage motoring festival features hundreds of historic cars and motorcycles taking on the famous hill, alongside a paddock display, family entertainment, and live music, all while raising money for local community charities.

  By walking together, we can fund better care for everyone with Parkinson’s. Whether you come on your own or with friends and family, you'll be joining a community of people who understand what you're going through.

  Ava'bury Festival

  Join us for AVA'bury Festival 2026 on Saturday 26 September for an afternoon of family fun at Aylesbury Vale Academy!
  
  With something for everyone, the festival will feature stalls, games, delicious food, a bar, live music and rides, making it a fantastic day out for the whole community.
  
  Doors open: 12.30pm
  Live music from: 1.00pm
  Festival closes: 5.00pm
  Tickets are just £2.50 per person and can be purchased HERE.
  
  Free entry is available for all new Reception and Year 7 students joining Aylesbury Vale Academy in September 2026.

  Festival of Lights

  Our Festival of Lights celebration offers a full programme of activities at Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury on Sunday 27th September 2026, 12pm - 8pm
  Inspired by Diwali, this festival celebrates the delights of our multi-cultural community and everyone is welcome. We want to delight your senses with a joyous celebration. What better excuse to dust off your dancing shoes, open your mind and meet your Aylesbury neighbours?

  17 October 2026, 5 - 8pm, Aston Clinton School
  
  Bring the whole family for a dazzling evening of colour and wonder at our spectacular Laser Light Show! Experience a mesmerizing blend of vibrant lights, captivating music, and enchanting visuals that will leave you in awe. We’ll also have a range of food trucks, amusements and a bar available. Don't miss out on the magic—come and see the night come alive with brilliant lasers dancing across the sky!
  
  This year we have managed to secure the amazing Elastic Cats so make sure not to miss them!

  Thomley Reduced Sound Fireworks Display

  REDUCED SOUND FIREWORKS DISPLAY 🎇
  📅 When? On Saturday 24th October, from 5-8pm
  📍 Where? At Thomley, between Aylesbury and Oxford, HP189JZ
  👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who for? For anyone! All ages and abilities welcome.
  🎆 Why are our fireworks different? This event has fireworks that are a lot quieter than regular fireworks. This can help those who struggle with loud noises and bangs.
  🔥 What else is there on the night? We have a FIRE ARTIST to keep you entertained, plus hot food including freshly made pizzas, burgers, fries and a bar to keep you watered

  Spooky Bingo for Wheel Power

  30 October - 7pm - 9.30pm
  Join us at Stoke Mandeville Stadium for an evening of spooky bingo in aid of WheelPower!
  With books on sale from 6:15pm and eyes down from 7pm come along with friends, family, colleagues or on your own for what is sure to be a spooktacular evening of bingo and other Halloween themed games. With prizes for the best fancy dress and decorated table, there will be something for everyone.

  Trick or Treat at Radley

  31 October, 5.30 - 7.30pm at the Radley Aylesbury Showroom, Rabans Lane, Aylesbury HP19 8RT.
  A fun and safe Halloween experience for everyone. 13 Spooky doors to trick or treat on. Free entertainment outside the showroom. Food truck, drinks and cakes. Come in costume if you dare! No booking required, just turn up.

  Thomley Trunk or Treat

  31 October 2026
  Join us this Halloween for Thomley's version of 'trick or treat'. Decorate the boot of your car and take a trip around all of the other trunks, in a safe and familiar setting. With other activities on the night plus hot food and drink served in the cafe throughout. Don't forget to attend the spooky story around the firepit.

  Christmas on the Cobbles

  22 November 2026 - 12pm - 6pm
  A day filled with festive family fun, games, crafts, activities and entertainers, includes fun fair rides for children in Kingsbury. 5pm will see the start of an illuminated parade, featuring a range of local groups and organisations as well as professional entertainers and of course the “big man” himself, Father Christmas. The parade will finish with the counting down to the switch on of the town’s Christmas lights and a firework display for the entire family to enjoy.
