Exclusive Tours
Join our very own Keeper of Archaeology on an exclusive tour of our major exhibition The SAXONS: Three lives. Three burial sites. Three extraordinary stories. Discover more about this immersive exhibition, how the Saxons lived, fought, believed and were remembered over 1,300 years ago. Tours will take place at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, please register for these at reception on arrival to secure a place. -
Crendon FestCrendon Fest is a vibrant, family-friendly festival taking place on Saturday, 18th July 2026, from 1pm, at The Rec in Long Crendon. The event celebrates the spirit of community through a dynamic mix of live music, children’s entertainment, local food & drink vendors, craft stalls, and traditional village fete games.

Set off on a thrilling Dragon Quest this summer at Discover Bucks Museum in Aylesbury and turn your museum visit into an unforgettable family adventure.
Children will love tracking the dragon, having fun with the hands-on challenges and exploring the Museum. Aston Abbotts Village FeteThe Aston Abbotts Village Fete will be held on Saturday 25th 2026 from 12pm til' 4pm. This year the event is bigger and better than ever with live music, BBQ, Morris Dancers, arts & crafts, dog show, cream teas and lots and lots of fun and games for all the family. Free Entry and amazing raffle prizes to be won!

Cancer Research Relay for Life AylesburySaturday 25 July, from 12pm (24 hour event). Relay For Life celebrates the power of community fundraising in the fight to beat cancer. Teams of friends, families and colleagues fundraise for research to save and improve lives, then unite as a community at an event to honour everyone affected by cancer and celebrate the progress we’re making to beat it.

Animal Antiks Country Fair30 July, 10am - 2pm. Animal Antiks, Manor Farm, St Johns Ln, North Marston, Buckingham
This will be a fun, family-friendly community event bringing together local people, small businesses, stallholders, supporters, families, learners, staff, volunteers and, of course, our wonderful animals. -
Bearbrook 10k Race & Kids Colour RunAlongside the Bearbrook 10K, the Aylesbury Colour Run will return in a rainbow cloud at 9.30am on Sunday 2nd August. Once the 10k sets off – it’s on with the colour run for anyone aged 14 and under. Adults are able to join to accompany those under 6 years old. The route is approx. 1 mile which includes 2 laps of the course. For those under 6 years, there will only be one lap 0.5 mile of the route.

Wendover Picnic in the ParkSaturday 8 August, 12 - 5pm. Hampden Meadow. Join us for an afternoon of summer fun at Wendover’s much-loved community picnic - a free event for all ages, packed with entertainment, tasty treats, and activities for the whole family.
Delicious Food & Drink – A variety of street food and refreshments to enjoy.

Aylesbury ParklifeSaturday 29 August, 12 - 9.40pm. Vale Park. An entire day of continuous live music and family entertainment – with bands, lots of free family fun, including the big tent, a community involvement area and market stalls. Refreshments are available to purchase.
