Fire crews were called to Cheddington this morning.
The blaze was found in an Aylesbury Vale area waste collection truck doing the rounds on Long Marston Road at 8.18am (28/1).
One appliance and a crew from Aylesbury and one from Leighton Buzzard attended, alongside officers from Thames Valley Police.
Firefighters used one hose reel, a haydrag and a thermal imaging camera.
The crew and vehicle are safe but the waste was emptied into the road to avoid fire getting out of control.
The incident happened less than two weeks after a fire broke out in a Bucks County Council bin lorry on Monday 18th January, believed to be started by a games controller being included in the rubbish.
