A man has been approaching users of Liston Road car park and its service road, advising them that they are parked on double yellow lines and need to pay a fee via the payment machine. He then takes the payment card, runs off and withdraws large sums of money from nearby cashpoints.
Police are reminding residents to not entertain such conversations with anyone, and that official parking wardens are always appropriately dressed in corporate clothing and have official ID badges. If in doubt, call the police for advice.
