A new road running through the middle of the Kier Living development in Stoke Mandeville has been named after a local former Royal Air Force pilot.
The road is named after much respected Roy Bartman, who died 20 years ago and is a blend of his name and his passion for flying.
He lived in what was then Belmore Hotel on Risborough Road, which is now part of the Whitethorn Garden development, and his son says its wonderful he is remembered this way.
