The new McDonald’s coming to High Wycombe will stay open until midnight, the fast-food giant has said.
The company’s latest restaurant will open in the former Pizza Hut site at Wycombe Retail Park in early 2025.
In a licensing application to Buckinghamshire Council, McDonald’s Restaurants Limited has listed its proposed opening hours for the site.
These will be 7am to 12am Monday to Saturday and 8am to 11pm on Sundays, according to its plans, which are awaiting council approval.
In the application, McDonald’s said it was ‘committed to carry out litter patrols’ to collect rubbish ‘that has been carelessly discarded’.
It added: “We are happy to act on recommendations from the environmental health officer should they feel that we should extend our patrol to a nearby area, as far as this is reasonably practicable.
“All of McDonald’s packaging displays the recycle symbol to encourage our customers to deal with their waste responsibly.”
It also said noise at the new restaurant would be minimised due to doors being ‘self-closing’ and staff trying to encourage customers to ‘be considerate to neighbours’.
The company pledged to work with Thames Valley Police to ‘prevent crime’ and said it would fit CCTV and an ‘audio and visual monitoring’ system, which staff can activate with panic buttons.
The new site at Wycombe Retail Park became available after Pizza Hut confirmed in September it was closing its branch.
The site will be the fifth McDonald’s in Wycombe once it opens next year.
