England Golf has named its four-player team for the European Young Masters, which includes Buckinghamshire's 15 year old, Ellie Lichtenhein.
The European Young Masters 2025 is a premier international golf competition showcasing the top under-16 talent from across Europe and will be held from July 24 to 26 in Versailles, France.
At just 15, Ellie Lichtenhein of the Buckinghamshire Golf Club, has already made a name for herself on the junior golf scene. In 2025, she earned a top-five finish at the Scottish Girls' U18 Championship, taking home the trophy for the top U16 player. She represented Great Britain & Ireland at the Junior Vagliano Trophy and was part of England’s team for the U16 match against Spain.
Ellie’s 2024 season was packed with standout performances, including runner-up finishes at the English Girls’ Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship, Scottish Girls’ U16 Open Championship, Fairhaven Trophy, and the Girls’ County Champion of Champions (after a play-off). She also placed fourth at the English U25 Championship. A strong team player, Ellie contributed to England’s win at the Girls’ & Boys’ Home Internationals and helped GB&I claim their first-ever Junior Vagliano Trophy victory in 2024.
