The consultation closes today about plans for a new prison close to Grendon Underwood
The proposed five-storey 1,400 inmate facility would be built next to the current HMP Springhill and HMP Grendon on land already owned by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ).
The MOJ insist the plans will bring good jobs to the area and help increase much-needed prison places in England.
But local campaign groups are opposed to the development, citing numerous concerns, including damage to the environment through light and air pollution as well as fears the location isn't accessible enough for staff and visitors.
To have your say, head to the MOJ consultation by close of play today.
