Residents in seven flats in Amersham had a lucky escape on Friday night when a fire broke out in the shop below them.
Emergency crews from Amersham, Beaconsfield and High Wycombe were called to the building on Rickmansworth Road at just before 1.30am (26/6).
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose and fan and managed to isolate the mains gas and electricity.
No-one was injured.
