The Bugle Horn and Portway Road junction is set to get some safety improvements thanks to the Stone with Bishopstone and Hartwell Parish Council.
After a discussion with Buckinghamshire Council to seek improvements to the are, the Parish Council have announced the proposed measures to be implemented shortly.
These include:
- Install red colour surface treatment under white central hatching between points A and B (this is not in areas where vehicles would overrun).
- Replacement of the reflective road studs (cats-eyes) with solar powered studs to highlight the alignment during night-time hours. These will be installed at 4.5 intervals on any section of double or single solid white line and reinstate existing stud spacing elsewhere.
- Refresh road markings throughout.
They are also inviting anyone who wants further improvements to areas in the Parish to email clerk@sbhpc.org to find out how you can get involved to make a difference.
