Aylesbury Town Council’s Live in the Park has won ‘Best Family Friendly Event’ in the Little Ankle Biters Bucks Awards 2022.
Live in the Park hosts 9.5 hours of continuous live music across two stages, family entertainment, local market stalls and food vendors and a community involvement area featuring local charities and organisations showcasing what they do in Buckinghamshire through games and activities.
The August Bank Holiday event first happened in 2015 attracting 6,000 people but has significantly grown in popularity year on year with more than 14,000 people attending in 2021.
The Little Ankle Biters Award was voted for by the public and the award was received at the Little Ankle Biters Awards Evening in The Barns Centre in Thame by Cllr Sherrilyn Bateman on behalf of the Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Tim Dixon, who was unable to attend due to illness.
“It was an honour to represent Aylesbury Town Council, the Community Committee and all the officers and volunteers who make our events so wonderful. I feel so very proud of what is achieved with a dedicated team of people on behalf of Aylesbury residents.”
Live in the Park will take place this year on Saturday 27 August in Vale Park, Aylesbury. For more information about the event visit https://bit.ly/ParklifeWeekend2022.
