The volunteers collected 132 bags this week, equating to just under a ton of rubbish!
The organisation was set up in June 2019 by local teenager Abigail and her Dad Richard after seeing how much rubbish is discarded and being concerned about the damage it was doing to our environment.
Aylesbury Wombles now have over 25 members, who regularly travel around Aylesbury to pick up litter, with one volunteer even wading into the California Brook to fish out rubbish!
The group are fundraising for more equipment for the volunteers, and the link to the Gofundme page is here.
You can also check out their Facebook page for more updates on the great work they are doing.
