Aylesbury residents are invited to line the streets this Saturday evening as a spectacular convoy of festively decorated vehicles rolls through town, spreading Christmas cheer and raising money for a local charity.
The Aylesbury Christmas Cruise will meet at Tesco Broadfields from 4.30pm, where the public is welcome to visit before departure. A live tracker will be released just before the convoy sets off and will go live as soon as the lead VW van rolls out, allowing everyone to follow the route in real time.

Nathan's been talking to one of the event organisers, Charlotte Issac:

From a Small Convoy to a Bucks Christmas Tradition
What began during the dark days of 2021 as a small gathering of VDub enthusiasts has grown into one of Buckinghamshire’s most heart-warming festive traditions. At a time when the world felt uncertain, a handful of volunteers came together with a simple aim: to bring light, joy and community spirit back to local streets.
That first convoy may have been small, but it was overflowing with enthusiasm. Since then, the event has grown to epic proportions — packed with Christmas lights, fundraising for local causes, mince pies, and bespoke merchandise created by Ian at Wanderlust.

A Team Effort Fuelled by Community Spirit
The event is powered by a dedicated team of organisers. Nici, President of the Dubs of Vanarchy Bucks Chapter, leads the Milton Keynes Cruise, while Andy and Simon organise the Aylesbury Cruise through both Dubs of Vanarchy and the Aylesbury VW Owners Club.
The same team successfully ran the Christmas Cruise in Milton Keynes last week, bringing festive magic to the city before turning their attention to Aylesbury.
Each year, Dubs of Vanarchy and the Aylesbury VW Owners Club work tirelessly and seamlessly to expand and improve the event. This year also sees the addition of Bucks Cars and Coffee, allowing more vehicle owners to take part, including those who have wanted to join for years. While the event now includes a broader range of vehicles, the organisers say the VW spirit remains at its heart.
How You Can Get Involved
The organisers encourage anyone who can to donate, but stress that the most important contribution is turning out to support the convoy with smiles, waves and festive cheer.
Those who attended or saw the Milton Keynes Cruise last Saturday are also invited to consider donating to Maya’s stair-climbing wheelchair fund at:
