Aylesbury Neighbourhood policing teams are warning the rural community of the rise in criminal activity.
Officers have upped their patrolling of rural areas, and have found a number of insecure farm gates on their patrols, which could be seen as an attractive point of entry by criminals.
It comes after just last week, a 23 year old man was arrested in Thornton on suspicion of the theft of caravans.
