A man has been jailed for almost two years after he was convicted of possessing ammunition unlawfully.
Ashley Blake, aged 38, of Arundel Green, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty to one count of possessing ammunition without a firearm certificate/authority, in a hearing at Amersham Crown Court on Monday (12/4).
He was jailed for one year and ten months.
At approximately 7pm on 14 September 2020, Blake ran from officers who had tried to detain him for a search.
A search of his home address on 14 September 2020 revealed 60 rounds of ammunition hidden in his wardrobe.
Subsequent testing showed that the ammunition was live and viable, an offence under the Firearms Act (1968).
He was charged with the offence on 15 September 2020.
