A man from High Wycombe has been sentenced after he was convicted of dangerous driving and other offences.
Mohammed Asif, aged 22, of Sheraton Drive, was found guilty of one count each of dangerous driving, failure to stop for police, driving without insurance, failure to give information of driver when required, and driving without a full license.
Asif was given a 12-week sentence, which will run consecutively to a sentence of four years’ and 10 months’ handed to Asif in October for possession with intent to supply.
Asif was also given a three-year driving ban.
At around 9.30pm on 22 November 2020, Asif was seen driving a silver Mercedes. Officers went to pull over Asif, and at this point he drove dangerously to evade police, travelling over twice the speed limit and on the pavement in a residential area.
Asif managed to evade police but as an officer identified him, he was later interview under caution. He was charged on 17 May 2021.
