Aylesbury Town Council's thrilling Father’s Day Soapbox Derby returns to Whitehill Park on Sunday 16 June.

Design and create a homemade kart to be proud of and take on a new challenge at Aylesbury’s only gravity-powered kart contest!
It’s free to take in part in the Soapbox Derby but all teams must register. Registration will be open until Sunday 26 May but don’t put on the brakes! We only 30 spaces available which are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Make your way down our 95-metre tarmac track in the fastest time to win a place on our podium!
The categories are:
🏆 Junior (aged 15 and under)
🏆 Senior (aged 16 and over)
Age refers to the driver of the kart. The driver can change on each of the runs – however all drivers must remain in the same age category. The construction and race team can be any combination of ages.
Each run is a push start, down a plywood slope. Each kart will make three timed runs of the course and the final positions will be determined by the total combined time recorded for the three runs.
We encourage imaginative, bright designs for your karts - sponsorship and logos are permitted. The Best Looking Kart is voted for by the public on race day.
