Event 3 in my quest to raise much need funds for the amazing Rennie Grove hospice care in memory of my dad who the charity helped in his final days,

Rat race Man vs Lake description from their website :
The classic Man vs Lakes adventure run is like nothing you will have experienced. You will enter the Lake District by striking out with an audacious and surreal crossing of the quicksands of Morecambe Bay, before heading north through mountainous country on a rollercoaster running route that brings you to the foot of England’s most famous Lake. You then proceed higher into the hills and forests of the area and immerse yourself into the Lake itself, tackling short wades, swims,* slides, jumps and an amazingly bold floating assault course. A trademark Man Vs “Vertical Kilometre” will push those quads to breaking point and help to rack up a whopping 4200ft of ascent before the final push takes you further in to the heart of Lakeland for a serene kayak loop on Lake Coniston just before you cross that finishline. 26.2 - 30 miles dependant on the exact crossing used at morecambe bay.
